Asset Creation Projects

BDSA has a proven track record of boosting business visibility through dynamic projects. Browse our portfolio below and gather ideas on how your EDG grant can be strategically utilised to drive transformative outcomes for your business.

LEGENDARY HONG KONG

BDSA helped Legendary Hong Kong overcome a fragmented brand identity challenge. The brand suffered from a disconnect between its English name, “Legendary Hong Kong,” and its Mandarin name, “港饮港食”, leading to inconsistent messaging and weak brand recall.

Through in-depth consultations with their management, BDSA developed a unified brand strategy, centring on the “Legendary Hong Kong” name and their core brand’s essence. This strategy was implemented through a visual overhaul, including a redesigned logo, menu book revamp, signage updates, and a cohesive design for disposable cutlery packaging, ensuring brand consistency across all customer touchpoints, even the smallest details.

The result? Stronger brand recall, increased social media awareness and engagement, and an enhanced brand image.

APEIRO NETWORKS

Apeiro Networks, a leading systems integrator in the niche optical networking market, recognised the critical need to modernise its brand to better compete in regional markets and expand internationally. The company’s outdated image and inconsistent messaging hindered its ability to scale and resonate with larger clients.

BDSA stepped in to conduct a comprehensive brand audit, including management focus groups, customer interviews, and competitor analysis. This process helped identify key brand differentiators and establish a clear, compelling brand positioning. Based on these insights, BDSA developed a strategy that not only highlighted Apeiro Networks’ engineering expertise but also positioned them as a professional solutions provider that enables digital communications.

The transformation encompassed a new, modern brand identity, including redesigned digital and print assets like LinkedIn templates, promotional visuals, and business cards. This resulted in enhanced market visibility, increased brand recognition, improved engagement, and a stronger, consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT EDG GRANT IN SINGAPORE

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) is a financial support programme from the Singapore government designed to help businesses upgrade, innovate, and expand internationally by funding qualifying project proposals.

Starting 1 April 2023, local SMEs are eligible for up to 50% support under the EDG. However, projects that focus on sustainability can receive enhanced support of up to 70% (until 31 March 2026) to encourage eco-friendly business practices.

The EDG provides up to 50% funding for qualifying expenses to SMEs and up to 30% for non-SMEs. However, the grant amount provided is determined by factors such as the company’s revenue and employment size, with eligibility criteria varying depending on the project category.

Documents that you’ll need to prepare when applying for the EDG includes:

  • Latest ACRA Search or Instant Information (must be dated no earlier than six months from the date of the project application)
  • Audited financial statements or certified management accounts for the last fiscal year
  • Proof of quotation for the cost of your project items.
  • Consultant’s proposals

The EDG supports a wide range of industries in Singapore, helping businesses innovate, internationalise, and improve capabilities by funding a significant portion of project costs. Meanwhile, the BIF is specifically designed for the tourism sector, encouraging the adoption of technology, redesign of business models, and process enhancements to increase productivity and competitiveness amid industry challenges.

The EDG does not specifically exclude any industries; it is accessible to a wide range of sectors aiming to upgrade, innovate, or expand internationally. However, eligibility is contingent on meeting specific project criteria and demonstrating potential for growth or productivity gains.

The processing time for an EDG application typically ranges from eight to 12 weeks, depending on the project’s complexity and the application’s completeness.
